CallGuard is a free Android app by Aarveta that blocks unwanted calls before your phone rings. You can block single numbers or whole number series, hidden and international callers, and see warnings for numbers that other users reported as AI voices or robocalls. It also includes a phone dialer with recent calls and contacts.
Yes. CallGuard is free to download and use, with no ads and no in-app purchases.
Yes. Call blocking runs entirely on your phone and works offline. The internet is only used for the optional account, rule backup, caller cards and to refresh the list of reported AI and robocall numbers.
CallGuard recognises AI calls and robocalls by phone number, not by listening to calls. A number is added to the shared list once at least three different CallGuard users report it. By default the app warns you while the phone rings and you decide; you can switch to blocking these numbers automatically.
Open CallGuard, go to Home and turn on Telemarketing under Quick block. All numbers starting with +91 140 are then rejected before they ring. You can also block any other series, for example a country code.
CallGuard works on Android 10 and newer. It is not available for iPhone.
Yes. The app is signed by Aarveta, and the SHA-256 fingerprint of every version is shown on the download page. Updates are checked against that fingerprint before they are installed, and Android only accepts updates signed with the same key.
Without an account, nothing leaves your phone: your rules, call log and contacts stay on the device. With an optional account, CallGuard stores your email, the profile you choose to fill in, your rule backup and any numbers you report. Caller-card lookups are not stored. CallGuard does not sell data or show ads.
No, not unless you block that exact number yourself. Broad options such as unknown callers, series, international calls and the AI list never block saved contacts or numbers you marked as trusted.
In the app open Settings and tap Delete account, or use the delete account page on callguard.aarveta.com. Your account, profile, photo, backup and reports are deleted permanently.
