Terms of use

Version 2026-10-20. Apply to the CallGuard Android app and CallGuard accounts, operated by Aarveta. Contact: hello@aarveta.com.

You accept these terms in the app before you can show a caller card, add a profile photo, send chat messages or leave voice notes. When they change, the app asks you to accept the new version before you post anything again. How we handle your data is described in the privacy policy.

Your account

  • CallGuard accounts are not intended for children under 13.
  • Keep your password to yourself. You are responsible for what is posted from your account.
  • Only add a mobile number that is yours. Do not claim another person's number to see their messages or to appear as them. Numbers are not checked by SMS, and the app shows that a caller's name is chosen by the caller.

What other people see

If you explicitly publish your caller card, its display name, city and profile photo can be seen by signed-in users who look up your number. Private chat and voice notes require both accounts to approve an invitation; this does not verify phone-number ownership. Messages and voice notes reach only the selected, connected account. Everything you post must follow the rules below.

Not allowed

  • Pretending to be another person, a company, a bank, a government office or CallGuard, or using a name or photo that is not yours to use.
  • Scams, fraud, phishing, or asking for passwords, codes or payments under false pretences.
  • Harassment, bullying, threats, or encouraging violence or self-harm.
  • Hate speech or attacks on people because of who they are.
  • Sexual content, nudity, or graphic violence in names, photos, messages or voice notes.
  • Any content that sexualises or endangers children. We remove it, close the account and report it to the authorities where the law requires.
  • Sharing another person's private information, such as their address, documents or photos, without their permission.
  • Spam, unwanted bulk messages or advertising, and links to malware.
  • Anything illegal, or that infringes someone else's rights.
  • Trying to collect other people's caller cards or numbers, or to get around limits, blocks or suspensions.

Reporting and blocking

You can report a caller card, a chat message or a voice note in the app. Reporting also blocks that account for you: you no longer see its caller card or photo and it can no longer send you messages or voice notes. You can also write to hello@aarveta.com.

What we do

We review reports. Depending on what we find, we may hide a caller card, remove a photo, delete content, or suspend or close the account. Serious or repeated breaches lead to suspension without warning. If you think we made a mistake, write to us from the email address of your account.

The service

CallGuard is free. Call blocking works on your phone and does not depend on these features. We may change or stop online features such as caller cards, chat and voice notes. Messages are sent over an encrypted connection but are not end-to-end encrypted; see the privacy policy. You can delete your account at any time in the app (Settings → Delete account) or on the delete account page.
